"Mark is very innovative when it comes to thinking of new concepts on how to teach golf to the masses. He has so many ideas, and I am glad he has put them into tangible form for all of us to use and benefit. He has used his vast experience, of over 25 years of teaching, to find voids in teaching methods and training aids to help students reach their ultimate potential. I have seen Mark invent, and I have tried, many of his teaching aids throughout my years at Bethlehem. The Fatt Matt products are by far his best inventions to date."

Mark has been a friend and colleague for over 25 years and I have personally witnessed his passion and commitment to his students and the game of golf. I distinctly remember his ‘bag of tools’ from his early years as an instructor so I was not surprised when he introduced me to his FattMatt brand of products. Each product is unique, innovative and will enable me to provide a more rounded learning environment, for my students and customers.

"I met Mark Csencsits several years ago at a Peak Performance Mind Clinic I conducted and was highly impressed with his knowledge of the total scope of the game - mental, physical, and emotional. It comes as no surprise a few years later that he has developed his Fatt Matt company which I believe is going to help shake up the way we've traditionally been taught the game. The Fatt Matt product line is going to simplify some of the basic fundamentals we've found a way to over-complicate. Good job, Mark. - Tim N. In my lesson, I gained MUCH greater insight into the specific mechanics of behind my swing/the golf swing in general (controlling the club face angle, centerness of hit, angle of attack, and path of club to the ball) and they how they affect the ball's flight off the club. Whereas I had previously been working solely on muscle memory to identify what made a swing "good" or "bad," I now have the ability to recognize which factor or factors in my swing were responsible for causing an undesirable result. For example, standing as far back from the ball as I had been doing created a path for my club to the ball and angle of attack at the point of impact that resulted in a severe slice. Additionally, an improved/more upright posture resulted in more centered hits and had far fewer instances of topping the ball than as I had previously been doing. I gained much better control over trying to center my drivers by understanding the degree to which opening/closing my left arm and ending the swing with an upward- or downward-facing club head would cause the ball to fly right or left (respectively). Overall, I noticed a substantial change in the types of hits I was producing with my swings, and obtained the knowledge necessary to more effectively evaluate the quality of my swings afterward in that I could identify the specific factors which were responsible for achieving the outcome.

Great lesson on Saturday. For the first time, someone was able to explain to me how to correct what I knew was a big fault. You taught me to swing to the right of the target line and turn the face over to promote a right to left spin. The face stays square to the ball on address but I need to turn my feet to the right and angle my shoulder along the line of my feet. I then need to swing out to the right of the target line and turn the club face over. Every ball on the range after the lesson was either going straight or from right to left. The videos are amazing and will definitely give me something to study. I’m going to make another lesson with you very soon. If you can get me to hit my driver like that after one lesson, I can’t wait to see what you can do with my irons. If I missed anything, please let me know. I imagine I can start using what you have taught me on any woods off the tee or the fairway.
Thanks again,

Fatt Matt Swing Trainer
- 27 years I have been playing golf and that what the first time I ever focus on my balance and felt my feet during my swing! That was amazing! Bob H.
- That was really cool! It's an uneven lies trainer on steriods! Jason D.
- Great machine it really made a difference in my setup to the ball, posture and ball striking. Love the separate foot platforms, very unique design. Charles D.
- I have always had trouble with ball below my feet shots. After 10 minutes and some quick help from Mark I was hitting the ball pretty solid off that lie. When Mark switched it back to “normal” lie setting I was crushing it. Shirl J.
- I took a lesson with Mark. I spent the whole hour on the Fatt Matt. I went out for my next round of golf and I swear to you I never hit my irons better in my life! Chris A.
- I think this (Fatt Matt) is a great idea. It looked scary at first because I did not know what it was supposed to be. After I got off the Fatt Matt my balance was immediately better and I hit the ball better and it didn't slice! Robin M.
- The machine made me engage my core while swinging. I felt more “centered” throughout my swing. I then went back to hitting balls on the range and picked up 10-15 more yards with all my irons! Sam Y.
- It made me think of something other than the ball! My focus was more on my swing rather than trying to hit something. Lisa M.
- I started out just wanting to see if I could “do it”. Meaning see if I could "miss the Ball"? In reality I got more focus on the center of the club. Pete C.
- The extra swing weight gave me better tempo for my swing. I liked seeing my path digging into the grass too. Alice S.
- When I used it on the grass turf I could see how much I was swinging to the left (over the top). Bob M.
- It was frustrating at first. I kept hitting off of the toe of the club. I made an adjustment and easily missed the ball several times in a row... I was so excited! The club showed me my swing path error. When I went back to hitting balls I felt like they were way more solid! Jane D.
- Everyone should try this thing; it’s flat out fun to try! Jamie O.
Balls - The balls help me correct so many issues with my game. They are fun to play with and easy to use. Devon M.
- The Blue Balls games and drills were fun to play. I liked the variety of uses and the way they felt when I hit them. Sam Y.
- The idea of the balls and tees are so simple yet so effective to help me focus on what is important while I am practicing. I thought of something other than just hitting the ball at the range. The Balls helped my putting and my driving! I chip better now too! Sharon C.
Comments: Hi Coach, My Monday lesson was very informative. I played yesterday and my ball contact has improved considerably. I'm regaining distance with all my clubs, ball contact will surely continue to improve with additional play and practice.
You asked for a review of the lesson:
#1) You asked what I saw? I saw the sun! after almost every shot I looked into the sun! No seriously, I'm not sure what your asking...but...what I saw was the need to improve my ball flight. I saw what needed to be done to improve my ball contact thru the games and drills...i.e. where the divot should be (after the ball). I saw where my body should finish, in the front quadrant. I saw that my alignment accounts for pulling the ball.
2) What I felt: The angle of my swing got steeper to take a divot in front of the ball. The results are better ball contact and then ball flight. This then helps to move the body into the proper quadrant (front) at the finish.
3) Drills and Games: All of them are great....the 4 tee drill, the ball 12" to 24" in front of another ball to force your body to feel what should be happening. The cushion to force me to take a steeper angle.
In summary, your okay as a teacher....LOL...only kidding, you have a unique and positive approach to coaching which appeals to me....one lesson and the the results have been very satisfying...I play in a Tuesday night golf league and noticed a tremendous improvement...my confidence has escalated and I look forward to playing.
Thanks I'll see you again soon. Joe K.
Mark, it went very well! Alex is very excited about all the new information you’ve provided him. I could tell he is motivated to work on making the improvements you illustrated for him. Let’s hope he gets away from the X-box over the next week and works on it, lol. He said to me 3 times about how he was freaked out by how you “guessed” he was going to be an attorney. I was dying on the inside, its hysterical. I was tempted to let him in on it when he asked if I had said anything to you but I said no…………….. LOL
I want to compliment you once again on your teaching acumen. I loved watching how you opened up his eyes to looking at the golf swing in an entirely new way and it was also a great refresher for me!! He was talking about it all evening!
Excellent work! Thank you for being you!!! Dave F.
